German Cruise Ship Aidacosma Docks At Doha Port

On its maiden voyage to Qatar, AIDAcosma, a German cruise ship docked today at Doha Port.

With 3,624 visitors and 1,385 crew members, this is the ship's first trip among the 13 scheduled to happen during the 2022-23 cruise season, which lasts until next April.

The Qatar ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) shared a few pictures of the cruise ship on its social media. It further said, 'operated by AIDA Cruises and sailing under the flag of Italy with 20 passenger decks and 2,700 staterooms, the 'AIDAcosma' is one of the largest cruise ships within the AIDA fleet with a capacity of more than 6,600 passengers and 1,636 crew members.'


With a length of 345 meters and a width of 54 meters, AIDAcosma was built in 2021 and launched in early 2022. It is one of the new class of ships that is dual fueled by liquefied natural gas and traditional fuel oil, which is intended to make them more environmentally friendly.
