(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- In 2022, Kuwait witnessed several major developments and events related to the Kuwaiti National Assembly (parliament), mainly swearing by MPs of the constitutional oath during the first regular session of the 17th legislative term.
The following is a list of major events and activities connected with the Kuwaiti parliament: Jan 4: The Prime Minister and his cabinet took the constitutional oath at the start of National Assembly's ordinary session.
Jan 4: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim announced he has received an interpellation request from MP Hamdan Al-Azmi against Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah that consists of five aspects.
Jan 12: Speaker Al-Ghanim adjourned the session due to lack of quorum, and government non-attendance according to Article 116 of the Kuwaiti constitution.
Jan 13: Kuwaiti National Assembly approved in the second reading a draft law to amend some provisions of the Printing and Publishing Law.
