(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Dec 21 (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah II said on Wednesday that France forms an 'integral part' of the region's history, describing relations between the Hashemite Kingdom and Paris as 'amazing,' the state news agency reported.
Holding talks with visiting French President Emmanuel Macron, the Jordanian king said the 'challenges in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, as well as the Palestinian cause,' were the chief topics discussed, Jordan's Petra news agency said.
On bilateral relations, the French president spoke of the 'great results' that ties have seen, underscoring Paris' 'desire' to support development projects across the Hashemite Kingdom.
Macron arrived in Jordan a day earlier to attend a French-sponsored gathering of leaders from across the region, aiming to shore up support for Iraq. (end)
