Ukraine's Armed Forces Repel Enemy Attacks Near 22 Settlements


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Units of the armed forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks near 22 settlements in two regions in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning report posted on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“Over the past day, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled occupiers' attacks in the areas of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka settlements in Luhansk region and Hryhorivka, Vyimka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Oleksandropil , Novobakhmutivka, Nevelske, Maryinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region,' the report says.

According to the General Staff, the enemy launched 23 air strikes and 4 missile attacks, including two strikes on civilian objects in Kharkiv city, as well as 78 MLRS attacks, targeting residential quarters in some areas. Casualties among the civilian population were reported.

'In the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched 22 strikes on the areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentered, as well as 3 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems,' the report says.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders shot down two Orlan-10 UAVs. The missile and artillery units hit five enemy command posts, four areas of the build-up of manpower, six artillery clusters, two ammunition depots, as well as one fuel depot.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 96,590 Russian invaders from February 24 to December 15.
