Turkey’s daily electricity usage rises by 2.08 percent on Dec. 6


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released on Wednesday by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS), daily power usage in Turkey soared by 2.08 percent on Tuesday in comparison to the day before, standing at 883,068 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS data, the nation's electricity consumption peaked at 41,701 megawatts per hours per hour at 11 p.m. regional time (0800 GMT) and dropped to 29,520 megawatts per hours per hour at 5 a.m. regional time.

On Tuesday, 874,255 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 2.17 percent increase from Monday.

Imported coal and lignite factories contributed by 27.3 percent and 11.8 percent of the total generation, correspondingly, whereas natural gas factories comprised by 32.2 percent of it.

The nation's electricity exports on Tuesday were 8,897 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 17,710 megawatts per hours.
