Egypt, Jordan Leaders Stress Concerted Arab Response To Crises


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Egypt's President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan underlined the importance of concerted Arab efforts to face the current crises in some countries in the region, while respecting their unity and sovereignty, and ending their sufferings.
This came during a meeting between the two sides in Cairo, discussing the latest developments in the region, mainly the Palestinian cause, Egyptian presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement.
The two sides agreed on enhancing Egypt and Jordan's efforts towards full support to brothers in Palestine in order to revive the peace process to reach a fair and comprehensive solution to the cause in a way that guarantees legitimate rights of Palestinians in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions, Radi said.
President Al-Sisi lauded the 'strong fraternal' relations between Egypt and Jordan at various levels, he said.
Al-Sisi also said he looks forward to strengthening these ties in a way that contributes to achieving interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, whether at the bilateral level or within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with Iraq, mainly on economic and trade levels, he stated.
King Abdullah II expressed 'deep appreciation' of Jordan to Egypt on both the popular and official levels, Radi noted.
He stressed his country's keenness on benefiting from Egypt's development efforts in all fields through sharing common investment and expertise, according to the statement. (end)
