Oji: Iran to establish 13 petrochemical parks creating 20,000 employment opportunity


(MENAFN) Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji has stated that 13 petrochemical sector parks will be built in the nation which is going to create employment opportunities for more than 20,000 people, as reported by Shana.

While giving a speech on national TV on Sunday night, Oji stated that the stated parks will be established in southern Iran where the majority of the nation’s oil and gas reserves lay.

Based on the official, the Oil Ministry initially identified 29 areas in four districts on the coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, and after measuring the stated sectors 13 sites have been finally selected according to studies of land, the probabilities of supplying feed and the availability of ancillary facilities.

Stating in a gathering with First Vice leader Mohammad Mokhber and some specialists and oil industry officials, in addition to the officials of some top petrochemical complexes on Sunday, Oji stated that the resources for the implementation of these parks will be provided by the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), bank facilities, as well as some private investment.
