Kremlin spokesman: Putin enjoys trying new artillery models
(MENAFN) Russian Leader Vladimir Putin has a strong interest in artillery and enjoys to “try out new models,” as said by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Putin was recorded firing a rifle throughout a visit to mobilized militaries in Ryazan this week.
“I do not think that this is connected to the military operation, especially since Putin took up arms far from twice, but very, very often. Completely normal practice. He himself likes to try some new models and they repeatedly present themselves to him,” he updated Russian reporters on Friday.
On Thursday, Putin travelled to training grounds in the western Ryazan Region to see the planning of mobilized troops first hand along with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.
They were shown standard tools delivered to the draftees, as well as uniforms, helmets, and body armor, along with the army-issued autumn and winter boots.
