Kyiv Stabilizes Power Supplies Following Russian Missile Strikes


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In Kyiv, the situation with power supplies has been stabilized so no further plans are in the works to cut off electricity in the capital.

That's according to General Director Serhiy Kovalenko, as reported by Ukrinform.

'Thank you for reducing consumption. Abort alert,' he said.

As reported, on the morning of October 15, Russian troops launched a missile attack on one of the districts in Kyiv region. The strike targeted an energy infrastructure facility.

Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko called on residents of Kyiv, as well as the regions of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Chernihiv to limit the power consumption.

The national energy operator Ukrenergo warned residents of Kyiv region about possible emergency rolling blackouts due to the Russian missile strike.
