Russian, Turkish leaders to meet in Astana this week

(MENAFN) Russian and Turkish leaders could gather in the Kazakh capital of Astana by the end of this week, Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov claimed on Monday.

Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are going to take a trip this week to Kazakhstan and the presidents could host a conference on the sidelines of the main occasions, Peskov informed journalists at a press conference in the Russian capital.

Peskov replied undesirably when enquired if Ankara sent to Russia any offers on holding discussions among Russia and the West, however, he stated that it could be discussed at the Erdogan-Putin gathering.

The Kremlin representative also declared Putin's other meetings on Tuesday -- with UAE counterpart Muhammad al-Nahyan as well as IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi in Saint Petersburg.

Moreover, he asserted that Putin is going to host numerous separate meetings in Astana on the sidelines of the Russia-Central Asia conference.
