PM, Omani Deputy Premier Talk Ties, Region

Muscat, Oct. 5 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Wednesday discussed ties with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said on the sidelines of His Majesty King Abdullah II's official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Prime Minister and al-Said emphasized their commitment to advancing cooperation in numerous fields to serve shared interests.
Khasawneh underscored the importance of King Abdullah's visit to the Sultanate of Oman in boosting and expanding relations, lauding Oman's supportive positions of the region's issues and its 'balanced relations with all countries of the world, earning it the trust and respect of all.'
The Deputy Prime Minister of Oman also emphasized the significance of King Abdullah's visit, stating that it will 'achieve positive results in the service of the common interests of the two peoples.'
The meeting also tackled a number of regional and international issues of common interest and efforts to support security and stability in the region to achieve further development and prosperity.
