Amman Elected Lead City Of Coalition Of Arab Cities Against Racism And Discrimination

Amman, Oct 3 (Petra) -- The Social and Human Sciences Program at the UNESCO Regional Office in the Arab States has elected Amman as lead city of the Coalition of Arab Cities against Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Intolerance.
The Cairo-based UNESCO regional bureau congratulated Amman Municipality, represented by its Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh, on the election during a virtual meeting of coalition members, which was held on August 22.
The UNESCO office said the election of lead cities of the coalition was reinstated, like the rest of the UNESCO global city coalitions, resulting in the election of Amman, as lead city and coordinator of the coalition for two years 2022-2024.
