Lebanon: Sayyed Nasrallah talks about significance of recent events

(MENAFN) The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah has talked about the significance of recent events following a written message from the U.S. intermediary in the indirect maritime demarcation talks between Lebanon and Israel was sent to Lebanon’s presidents.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah commented throughout an address respecting the late scholar Sayyed Muhammad Ali al-Amin in the town of Chaqra, southern Lebanon.

The text, which has been received "by the three leaders" (the Lebanese President, Prime Minister and Parliament Speaker), means the country is "facing crucial days in the demarcation file, and it will become clear what the position of state officials is, and where things are heading," on the words of Sayyed Nasrallah.

He added that "if the demarcation border reaches a good result and the required one, then this will be the product of unity, cooperation and national solidarity."

For months now, Hezbollah has been threatening Israel on the removal of gas at the Karish oil and gas field, stating any efforts to do so would be a "red line".
