WTO report: Saudi Arabia tops G20 countries in traveler inflow figures for 2022

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia has sat at the top of the G20 nations for the flow rating of worldwide travelers in the January-July period of this year, as shown by a report issued by the World Tourism Organization.

The report, issued throughout the G20 tourism ministers’ gathering which was hosted in Bali, Indonesia, did not show the exact figures of tourists who came into the nation, but claimed the industry witnessed an expansion rate of 121 percent in the first 6 months of this year.

Throughout the meeting Saudi Arabia’s tourism minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb stated that the rise in tourist inflow comes along with the nation’s financial growth strategy and targets to surge tourism’s input to the Kingdom’s gross domestic output, as framed in 2030 outlook, the Saudi Press Agency mentioned in report.

Naming Saudi Arabia one of the quickest expanding markets for tourism, Al-Khateeb stated that the nation’s tourism area is rushing at a rate of 14 percent in comparison with the pre-coronavirus epidemic time span.
