Mali, Iran push for stronger ties


(MENAFN) Mali and Iran's foreign ministers have emphasized the need of full collaboration between the two nations.

Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran's Foreign Minister, met with his Malian colleague Abdoulaye Diop on Monday afternoon in New York following his participation in the 77th United Nations General Assembly.

The two foreign ministers were pleased with the recent exchange of political and economic delegations between the two friendly countries.

They also stressed the importance of the relationship's overall growth, urging for the continuation of political dialogue on areas of mutual concern as well as international events.

The two senior diplomats also stated that the agreements established in the joint economic commission should be followed up on by connections between corporate sectors and the exchange of technical delegations from both sides.
