Saudi ministry starts localizing amusement parks, recreation facilities

(MENAFN) The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has begun implementing its localization initiative at theme parks and entertainment venues in an effort to increase work opportunities for Saudi citizens.

Seventy percent of the work there should be localized, according to the government. Additionally, it aims to localize entertainment venues inside shut-down commercial buildings by 100 percent. A step-by-step manual for carrying out its decision has been posted by the ministry on its website. Penalties is going to apply if the judgment is not followed after the grace period, which lasts 180 days starting on April 4, this year. Moreover, the localization choice, according to the ministry, is applicable to all recreation facilities in the Kingdom.

According to Saudi Transport Minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia is seeking to localize 18 professions over the course of the upcoming year as the Kingdom progressively advances in its attempts to generate more employment in accordance with Vision 2030.
