King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority And MAADEN Sign Mou To Promote Environmental Protection

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, September 20, 2022, SPA -- King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority and the Saudi Arabian mining Company (MAADEN) have inked a memorandum of understanding to collaborate and implement projects inside the reserve while also promoting social and environmental responsibility.
CEO of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority Abdullah Ahmed Al-Amer, and MAADEN CEO Robert Wilt were present during the signing event.
The agreement intends to encourage collaboration between the parties in terms of mining policies and their environmental impact. The two parties will host events of common interest and work together to do research on the impact of mining activities inside the reserve and collaborate to sponsor environmental and tourist initiatives that capitalize on their capabilities and expertise.
One of MAADEN's priorities is to achieve environmental sustainability goals by implementing a trailblazing strategy that reflects a shining example of sustainability and environmental and social governance. MAADEN has adopted numerous national initiatives and expanded collaboration with diverse entities to accomplish environmental protection goals. It seeks to bring positive results for the region and residents while also creating a sustainable environment for all.
As part of its strategy to strengthen engagement with relevant authorities, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority recently signed multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding and partnerships with various government departments. The reserve also intends to strengthen its cultural, educational, and environmental activities, as well as to consolidate initiatives of mutual interest to all parties.
