AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received an invitation letter from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, delivered by Justice Minister Abdul Rashid Tabbi, to participate in the 31st Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit Level, which is scheduled to be held in Algeria in November.
King Abdullah asked the justice minister to convey his greetings to President Tebboune and his wishes of further prosperity and progress for the Algerian people, according to a Royal Court statement.
The meeting covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Algeria, as well as keenness to expand them across all sectors, in service of shared interests and Arab causes.
His Majesty said Jordan looks forward to a successful Arab Summit, which would bolster joint Arab action and unify positions towards shared challenges.
Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan and Algeria's Ambassador to Jordan Mohamed Sherif Kourta attended the meeting.
