'Outstanding' ABRSM Music Exam Results For Qatar Music Academy Students
Qatar Music Academy (QMA) has announced an 'outstanding year' for music examination results from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) based in the United Kingdom. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 32 students were awarded distinctions out of a total of 52 marked exams. QMA students excelled in examinations for piano, string instruments, woodwind and brass instruments, and percussion as well as music theory.
Qatar Music Academy clarinet student James Watkins was also selected to perform as part of the ABRSM Global High Scorers online concert. Video performances from exceptional ABRSM candidates from around the world are chosen to be published together to create a concert of ABRSM exam high scorers that is streamed worldwide.
