Apple Announced The Release Of Watch Series 8 And Ultra

The Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Series 8 have been unveiled at an event at the company's headquarters in California. 

The Apple Watch Series 8 offers new features such as improved temperature sensors, crash detection and a larger, always-on screen. The Series 8 is available for $399 (GPS) or $499 for the cellular version. It is available for preorder from Apple.com.

The company also updated its Apple Watch SE ($249 for GPS, $299 cellular) and detailed the new Apple Watch Ultra ($799). Both are available for pre-order now, with the SE arriving at the same time as the Series 8 while the Ultra arrives on Sept 23rd.

The Series line is now continuing with the Apple Watch Series 8. The wearable carries forward with the same formula as prior flagship models but now features a temperature sensor, crash detection, a low-power mode, and expanded period and ovulation tracking.

Like the previous model, the 41mm model starts at $399 with GPS and $499 with cellular connectivity. If you prefer the larger 45mm model, it's available for $429 with GPS and $529 with cellular connectivity. Each model is available for preorder starting today from Apple and is set to arrive on September 16th.

 The Apple Watch Ultra is bigger and more rugged than previous models, with a size of 49mm, and it has a customizable action button and built-in dive computer to appeal to a more hardcore audience that like doing active things outdoors. It also carries a heftier price tag of $799.
