The death toll from the earthquake that struck southwest China's Sichuan Province has risen to 46.
'16 people were missing and over 50 injured,' China's News Agency (Xinhua) quoted Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department Wang Feng as saying.
The initial death toll was 21 people as a result of the earthquake, which was 6.8 on the Richter scale.
