Mol Mulls Facilitating Procedures For Tanzanian Workers' Recruitment
The Ministry of Labour organised a meeting with the visiting Tanzanian delegation, with the aim of discussing manpower co-operation and regulating the use of expatriate workers, based on the bilateral labour agreement. Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs Mohamed Hassan al-Obaidli and Tanzanian Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office (Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disability) Jamal Katundu chaired the meeting. The meeting discussed ways to facilitate the procedures for bringing in domestic workers to Qatar, and to co-ordinate between the approved recruitment offices, in addition to promoting and developing procedures for bringing in technical and specialised Tanzanian workers. The Tanzanians were briefed on the Qatari labour legislation and reforms that took place over the past years. The delegation lauded the developments and updates on the new labour sector laws that reflect Qatar's keenness on workers' rights. (QNA)
