Retail Sales Growth in Poland Slows Down More


(MENAFN) According to statistics released by Statistics Poland on Monday, Poland's retail sales growth slowed for the third consecutive month in July.

Retail sales increased 2.0% year-over-year in July at constant prices, following a 3.2% increase in June.

Since March of last year, the most recent rate of increase was the lowest in the current series of sales growth.

The largest 13.3 percent gain in sales was seen in textiles, apparel, and footwear in July.

Pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and orthopaedic equipment sales increased by 10.2 and 10.5 percent, respectively.

Food, beverage, and tobacco product sales all saw a 5.4 percent yearly gain.

Retail sales increased 1.2 percent on a monthly basis in July, turning around a 1.4 percent decline in June. It had been four months since the last increase.
