Asian share markets end Wednesday’s session with mixed figures


(MENAFN) Main Asian share markets ended Wednesday with mixed figures as financers concentrate on US inflation figures while following latest developments in Taiwan.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip firms in the region, was declined 17.7 points or 0.54 percent to 3,238 points.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 share exchange declined 180.6 points, or 0.65 percent, to 27,819.

The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, struggled the most, falling 392.6 points, or 1.96%, to 19,610.

China's Shanghai share Exchange was 17.4 points down, or 0.54 percent, to finish at 3,230 points, after Chinese inflation data.

Consumer costs in China surged at the quickest speed since 2020, reaching 2.7 percent yearly in July jumping from 2.5 percent in June, in line with the National Bureau of Statistics data on Wednesday.

The Indian Sensex main saw a drop of 35.8 points, or 0.06 percent, to finish the day at 58,817 points.

Meanwhile, the Singapore index was 15.3 points higher, or 0.47 percent, to end at 3,286.
