Doha: The activities of the Summer Festival 2022, organised by Al Rayyan Municipality in cooperation with Mall of Qatar management, were concluded last week.
Held from July 28 to August 4, the festival witnessed a wide turnout of public throughout the period of activities. The number of visitors from families and tourists to the activities of Al Rayyan Municipality for eight days reached 7,000 of different age groups. As many as 2,000 gifts were distributed to the children who participated in the activities.
Al Rayyan Municipality has taken“and keep a smile on your face” as a slogan for its various activities.
The festival activities also included visits to a number of stores and restaurants in the mall. This was in addition to a visit to the Al Rayyan Hotel restaurant with the children, teaching them the ways of safety and security in the kitchen, and introducing the work mechanism and the municipality's functions of monitoring and inspection of facilities.
Several departments in the ministry participated in the events, such as the Department of Agricultural Affairs which distributed 300 cartons of dates to the participants and visitors to the mall and many different seedlings to the children.
The Department of Recycling and Waste Treatment distributed 50 coupons to the participating contestants.
The Fish Affairs Department concluded the festival with a beautiful event, in which it accompanied the children to Carrefour and made them aware of how to choose fish and know their types and shapes.
