Nepal Embassy Promotes Tourism In Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka hosted Nepal tourism Promotion programme in Chattogram on July 4, 2022 for promotions and publicity of various tourism destinations and activities in Nepal for Bangladeshi tourists.

On the occasion, Charge d'Affaires Kumar Rai shed light on excellent bilateral relations existing between Nepal and Bangladesh ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations 50 years ago.

Stating that Nepal being a wonderful country with pristine nature, rich culture, and unique adventure, he expressed his sincere hope that the programme would be fruitful for promoting Nepal's tourism in Bangladesh and also helpful for further strengthening people to people relations. At the juncture of Diamond Jubilee of Nepal-Bangladesh diplomatic relations and Mujib Year being celebrated in Bangladesh, he said that the programme would open multitude avenues of cooperation and collaboration in tourism sector between our two countries.

The function was also addressed by Laxman Gautam, Officiating Director, Tourism Marketing and Promotion Department of Nepal Tourism Board. Laxman Gautam addressed the gathering virtually and reiterated the role of tourism for enhancing prosperity in Nepal.

He further highlighted the potential of Nepal as tourism destination for regional as well as global tourists who are keen to experience cultural and natural diversity of Nepal that offer vast experiences of a lifetime through various tourism activities across the country.

He also emphasised importance of the role of tour operators, tourism entrepreneurs and business communities for further promotion of Nepal in major cities of Bangladesh.

Similarly, Additional DIG Muhammad Muslim PPM of Chattogram Tourism Police, Dr Munal Mohabub, Senior Vice-President of Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mohammad Abu Zafar, Chairman of ATAB Zonal Committee of Chattogram delivered their speech highlighting the significance of exchange and cooperation in tourism sector between the two countries.

During the event, Second Secretary Ranjan Yadav made a presentation on various aspects of Nepal Tourism and introduced Nepal as famous tourism destination for Bangladeshi visitors. Later, he also addressed the queries received from the participants during Q&A session.

The programme was attended by tours and travel agencies, tourism entrepreneurs, representatives from commerce and industries, participants from airline industry and media houses in Chattogram.
