Punjab Govt To Organize Craft Bazaar In Amritsar From June 30
Amritsar, June 25 (KNN) A craft Bazaar is being organized by the Punjab Government in Amritsar with the aim to promote handicrafts from all over the country.
A craft market is being set up at Pytax Maidan, Ranjit Avenue from June 30 to July 10.
The Bazaar will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan said“this craft market would display the handicrafts made by the artisans using wood, cloth, iron, stone, bamboo, jute, thread, glass amongst others.”
More than 100 stalls will be put up exhibiting handicrafts from all over the country.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kulwinder Singh, Advisor to the Punjab State Industry Export Corporation said“this market would have every handicraft stall popular in India and people would be able to buy their handicrafts from one place.”
The event is being supported by the Red Cross in Amritsar. (KNN Bureau)
