(MENAFN- Gulf Times)

Strong winds and poor visibility are expected in the country on Monday, the Qatar Met department has said. Windy conditions are also forecast in offshore areas today along with high seas.
The wind speed may go up to 35 knots both inshore and offshore at times, with the sea level rising to 12ft.
The detailed forecast says it will be relatively hot during the daytime, while dusty conditions are also likely at times. Visibility, meanwhile, 2km or less in some places occasionally.
Slightly dusty conditions are also expected offshore on Monday.
Windy and dusty conditions were experienced in Doha and other parts of the country on Sunday, too, leading to a drop in visibility in some places. The Met department urged people to be careful in view of the prevailing conditions.
On Saturday, the department had said fresh to strong northwesterly winds were expected in the country from Sunday until the end of the week.
'It is expected that the country will be affected by northwesterly winds, fresh to strong in speed, during the day from Sunday and continue until the end of the week,' the department said in a report.
The wind speed will range from 12-22 knots with gusts exceeding 30 knots at times, causing blowing dust and low horizontal visibility of less than 2km in some places, reaching zero at times.
The wave height will range from 3-8ft, rising to 10ft in certain areas, the report adds.
The Qatar Met department has urged people to be careful during unstable weather conditions and follow the latest updates through its official accounts.
