DUBAI, 29th March, 2022 (WAM) -- The Republic of Moldova presented its vast tourism and investment opportunities during its National Day celebrations at expo 2020 Dubai on Monday.
Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director, Expo 2020 Dubai Commissioner General Office, welcomed Victor Haruta, Moldova's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Ali said, 'Through its participation at Expo 2020 Dubai, Moldova invites us to discover all that it has to offer to the world, such as its historical and cultural heritage, touristic attractions, and vast economic potential.
'Relations between the UAE and Moldova have been growing exponentially over time, and we look forward to strengthening them further as we explore the potential for increased collaboration in areas of joint interest between our two countries, such as trade and investment, ICT, and tourism.'
Victor Haruta said, 'Through the platform of Expo 2020 Dubai, the UAE created a much-needed platform for all nations, regardless of cultural, religious or social views. The Republic of Moldova shares the same values, focusing on culture, tradition, development and interconnectivity. Our biggest treasure is our people, especially the younger generation to be educated and developed in such a way that strengthens interactions and people-to-people contact and to create a prosperous future.
'The participation of the Republic of Moldova at Expo 2020 Dubai is a unique opportunity for our country to enhance visibility and invite the pavilion's visitors to discover Moldova and be our guest. The Moldova Pavilion is keen to give visitors an insight into a country that is the least explored destination in Europe, according to Lonely Planet. Set in the Mobility District, it focuses on the five topic areas of discover, taste, invest, craft and wine.
