Qatar's Al Ajmi sparkles at Riyadh Championship

Riyadh: Qatari rider Faleh Suwaid Al Ajmi won the second place in the 150 cm Grand Prix at the Three-star Riyadh International Championship.

Al Ajmi and his horse Carbot clocked a time of 53.16 seconds to win the silver trophy and a prize cheque for 48.820 Saudi Riyals. 

Emirati Abdullah Al Muhairi won the event while Saudi rider Abdullah Al Sharbatly completed the podium.

This round also witnessed the participation of Qatari rider Nasser Jassim Al Ghazali who came in seventh. His compatriot Hamad Nasser Al Qadi finished in the ninth place.

Earlier, in the 120 cm class, Qatar's Khalifa Al Khalidi won the second place while Maryam Al Buainain came fifth.

It is noteworthy that a number of Qatari riders excelled with good results during the Riyadh Championship, where the Medium Round saw Qataris Mohammed Saeed Haidan and his horse Sik Luna winning the second place while Al Qadi and Mays Shelly finishing third.
