
Jordan - Amended Civil Health Insurance Bylaw to take effect Thursday-Official
Amman, Mar. 16 (Petra) - The amended Civil health Insurance Bylaw will enter into force Thursday, 60 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
The Cabinet approved the bylaw's amendments aimed at expanding the base of health insurance beneficiaries and achieving equality in the public health insurance system.
In his interview with 'Petra' Wednesday, Director of the Civil Health Insurance Department at the Ministry of Health Dr. Nael Adwan, said the the new bylaw includes amendments that ensures continued health coverage to subscribers' unmarried sons, who have completed 18 years.
In addition, subscribers' unemployed sons and daughters, who have completed 25 years, will receive coverage by paying a JD60 fee annually, and JD120 for employed children, he pointed out.
