Accounting companies KPMG, PwC suspend activities in Russia


(MENAFN) International accounting companies KPMG and PwC suspended their activities in Russia, along with numerous main firms after its invasion on Ukraine.

According to KPMG "We believe we have a responsibility, along with other global businesses, to respond to the Russian government’s ongoing military attack on Ukraine."

In addition to Russia, KPMG, which has more than 4,500 staffers in both nations, is going to suspend its operations in Belarus.

A report by the PwC pointed out "As a result of the Russian government’s invasion of Ukraine we have decided that, under the circumstances, PwC should not have a member firm in Russia and consequently PwC Russia will leave the network."
