US calls for inhabitants against going to Belarus, Moldova

(MENAFN) The US advised its residents against going to Belarus and Moldova within mounting strains over Ukraine’s issue.

The State Department mentioned "arbitrary enforcement of laws, the risk of detention, an unusual and concerning Russian military buildup along Belarus’ border with Ukraine, COVID-19 and related entry restrictions" on its website.

Moreover, the department stated that US residents in Belarus should leave right now through commercial or private agencies, while Washington commanded the leaving of family members of US administration staffs from the embassy in Minsk on January 31st.

As for Moldova, the State Department referred to "COVID-19, the unusual and concerning Russian military activity around Ukraine and the unresolved conflict between the breakaway region of Transnistria and the central government.”
