Tel Aviv gets to be most expensive city in the world


(MENAFN) As a result of rising prices and supply-chain issues, Tel Aviv was titled the globe's top pricey town to reside in.

The Israeli town topped the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) poll for a first, moving up from the fifth rank in 2020 while moving Paris into a tie for the second rank besides Singapore. Damascus, Syria's war-devastated capital, has maintained its status as the less expensive town in the whole world.

According to information collected by the EIU in August and September, median costs growth reached 3.5 percent on average in local currency terms, the fastest rate in the last five years.

The most significant rising prices have been in transportation, and the prices of a liter of gasoline rising by 21 percent on average inside the towns examined for the collected info.
