Belgium imposes tight Coronavirus restrictions as infections increase

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the Belgian government made a decision to force Coronavirus restrictions midst quickly increasing infections.

PM Alexander De Croo reported after a Coronavirus consultative board conference, “the variant of the virus that we see today is three times more contagious than the original one. There is a red alarm. This is why we take extensive measures that everyone can follow to avoid a new lockdown.”

As of Monday, working remotely for a minimum of four days a week is going to be obligatory, with the exclusion of businesses that demand the physical attendance of employees.

Citizens over the age of 10 are going to be obligated to wear a face mask when using public transport and going to restaurants and cultural and entertainment places, as well as joining indoor events with more than 50 people and outdoor occasions with more than 100 individuals.
