FrieslandCampina, Producer of Omela Milk Shares Omani Tea with those Affected by Cyclone Shaheen in Oman
(MENAFN- Ogilvy) Oman, November 02, 2021 — FrieslandCampina, one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world, launched an initiative to help comfort volunteers who are supporting the families and individuals affected by Cyclone Shaheen in the Sultanate of Oman. The company quickly mobilized in the aftermath of the cyclone to support victims staying at assigned relief camps by providing hot Omani tea made with its popular brand Omela Milk.
The distribution of Omela Omani milk tea started on Sunday, 3rd of April 2021, in collaboration with Global Hand, a non-profit brokerage that is designed to bring together people who want to volunteer for and address global issues related to for-profit organization, non-profit organization, foundations, trusts, and governments.
Sumeet Mathur, Managing Director of FrieslandCampina Middle East said: “During these difficult times, we wanted to express our appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman and its people by standing next to them and contributing with the least we can. Our colleagues worked day and night to serve Omani tea by Omela to families and people affected. We wish everyone affected by the exceptional climatic conditions due to Cyclone Shaheen a safe and speedy recovery.”
FrieslandCampina’s Omela drive has seen the company’s support staff working tirelessly to generously serve comforting cups of hot Omani tea to those affected.
A big part of Omani culture since decades, Omela Tea Milk has been bringing families and friends together to enjoy the indulgence of a strong-tasting cup of tea for decades.
