QatArt Makers Market opens at Katara


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Cultural Village Foundation — Katara organised QatArt Makers Market in the courtyard of Building No. 19 on Friday.

QatArt Makers Market, is a small market for businesses and handicrafts, offering sales of a wide range of handicrafts, which include jewellery, accessories, paintings, pictures, furniture, graphic designs, craft sets, bags, clothes, products for home decoration.



As much as 15 Qatari and expatriate artists are participating in the market, most of whom specialise in handicrafts and art. Katara aims through this market to encourage the production of handicrafts and to give the public an opportunity to view and acquire them, as a large variety of wonderful and distinguished artworks showcased in the market. 

Katara also seeks to open new markets for such local products to introduce handicrafts and heritage to the visitors. The market is organised once a month, on Friday, from 3pm until 8pm.
