Iraq: foreign forces will complete withdrawal at year end


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Baghdad, Sept. 18 (Petra) -- Three foreign combat units will leave Iraq in the coming days, an Iraqi military source announced Saturday.
Iraq's Joint Operations Spokesperson Tahseen Al-Khafaji, said that Iraq is able to protect itself.
"Iraq cannot be compared to Afghanistan, and our forces are able to confront and defeat terrorism," Al-Khafaji added.
He noted that by the end of this year, "there will be no foreign combat forces in Iraq."
