Deaths surpass 150, highest in a single day 3, Covid cases reported in Sri Lanka
(MENAFN- NewsIn.Asia) Colombo , August 13 (newsin.asia) – The number of coronavirus positive patients detected in Sri Lanka crossed the 345,000 mark as another 3,039 new Covid-19 cases had been detected across the country yesterday (12).
The total number of COVID-19 positive cases stands at 345,118 with 37,199 active cases registered across the island and as many as 302,455 recoveries according to the Government Information Department.

Sri Lanka also registered 156 more Covid-19 related deaths yesterday, the Director-General of Health Services confirmed. The victims have succumbed to the virus infection on Tuesday (10).
This is the highest number of COVID-19 deaths reported in a single day.
Reportedly, none among the victims are aged below 30 years while 35 victims are aged between 30-59 years and 121 others are aged 60 and above
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 5.620 as of now.
