Kuwait radio' s programs marks Iraqi invasion anniversary

KUWAIT, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait state-radio announced, Sunday, that it had prepared a list of programs to mark the 31st anniversary of the Iraqi invasion, coinciding Monday August 2nd.
Assistant undersecretary for radio affairs at the Ministry of Information Saad Al-Fandi told KUNA that the state broadcaster would focus its programs to remember the brutal Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait and the efforts of friends and allies in denouncing this horrific act.
Various figures, politicians, entities, and diplomats will be featured in the programs, in addition to historic events and stories reflecting Kuwaiti heroism against the Iraqi invaders, he added.
Al-Fandi revealed that there would be blood donation campaign launched in coordination with the Kuwait Central Blood Bank as well as other activities during the anniversary. (end)
