(MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index started the day at 1,357.93 points, dropped 0.39 percent or 5.35 points from the last close.
With a daily trading rate of 8.86 billion Turkish liras (USD1.04 billion), Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index decreased 0.29 percent at 1,363.28 points at last week’s close.
The stock exchange is going to trade half-day Monday due to Eid al-Adha, the Islamic Feast of Sacrifice.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate amounted at 8.5700 as of 9:30 AM local time (0630GMT), increased from 8.5360 at last week’s close.
With a daily trading rate of 8.86 billion Turkish liras (USD1.04 billion), Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index decreased 0.29 percent at 1,363.28 points at last week’s close.
