S. Arabia, Oman declare identical views on Yemen

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, July 12 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia and Oman on Monday affirmed their views are identical on the necessity of pursuing efforts toward a full-scale political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The joint stand was announced in a statement capping the two-day state visit by Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq to the Kingdom.
A political solution to the Yemeni crisis must be based on the Gulf initiative, the outcome of the Yemeni national dialogue, the UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the Saudi initiative designed to end the crisis and the humanitarian hardships in the country, it said.
The statement said the two sides affirmed necessity of dealing seriously and effectively regarding the Iranian nuclear and missile files for sake of regional and international security and stability, noting the need for respecting good neighborliness norms, respecting international resolutions and sparing the region destabilizing activities.
