Rizka's research interests include behavioural epidemiology, urban health, and active travel. Her PhD research focuses on adolescents' active school travel behaviour, particularly how built, social, and meteorological environments are associated with adolescents' active school travel in Asia.
Rizka obtained her bachelor's degree in public health from University of Indonesia, Indonesia, and her master's degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan. Her master thesis was on behavioural nutrition with title "Food-choice motives of adolescents in Jakarta, Indonesia".
Rizka is also a junior lecturer at Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia. Prior to her doctoral study, aside from teaching, she was involved in various projects and studies, among them were vaccine coverage surveys and air pollution impact on mortality study.
Rizka's doctoral study is funded by Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), Ministry of Finance, the Republic of Indonesia.
