Paraguay to introduce command during July to take on Bitcoin


(MENAFN) A Paraguayan lawmaker stated he is arranging to present command to Congress during the month of July to take on the world's most popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

Carlitos Antonio Rejala Helman, a deputy of the Nation and member of Congress, tweeted on Thursday: "this is Paraguay July we legislate! #Bitcoin."

Rejala said in another tweet: "from the month of July all the stores of Paraguay Entertainment Group (Grupo Cinco) will accept Cryptocurrencies. One more step in the present with a view to the future."

He stated on Friday through the social media that Universidad Comunera, a Paraguayan university, is approving Bitcoin as a method of payment.
