There is no shortcut to get better domain authority. Explains Amit Kumar Jha, the founder of WEBNext Labs
(MENAFN- Rawink Broadcast Media) In this digital world where everyone is trying their best to find out a way to rank best on Google, many people fall victim to various agents and start moving in the wrong direction. According to Mr. Amit Kumar Jha who is the founder and CEO of WEBNext Labs, people often forget the terms that actually make the difference. One such term is domain authority.
So, what is domain authority?
In simple words it’s a ranking developed by Moz about how likely a website is to appear on Google or any other search engine. Every domain is given a point ranging from 1 to 100 where 1 represents the worst situation while 100 represents the best. There are multiple factors that taken into consideration while calculating this factor. The total number of backlinks to a particular page makes a big difference but that’s not the whole story.
Amit Kumar Jha says “If a reputed person refers you, you gain respect but if a criminal refers you, you instantly lose more respect. Similarly, the quality of website which backlinks your domain definitely makes the big difference.” He further added “I have often seen people submitting their domain name to various organizations that claim to provide free backlinks but is it worth? Once you receive a backlink, you cannot undo it. You also cannot control people who link you back, but is definitely in our hand that we don’t submit out domain to wrong people.”
He explained that nowadays people often try to get paid content for their domain and promote their brand on various social media. People also tend to try all the technical tools to rank better. There is nothing wrong with it but, people must understand that a domain ranks better only if it provides the content that the user wants and the search engine understands. Any PR, promotion, marketing, or tool shall go wasted if the website offers nothing.
In a recent session at WEBNext Labs, Amit Kumar Jha explained to his interns “You would always prefer a mall with good storefront, lighting, location with well dressed and mannered staff but would you still ever like to go to a mall that has best of these qualities but has no product to buy? Definitely no. So is the case. Even after complete indexing, why would a search engine ever put your website link in the search result if the result means of no importance to its users.” He further explained that sometimes we think that our website is not on a search result because it has not been indexed but actually it is not there because the search engine algorithm thinks that it’s not important.
He finally says that a domain can gain authority only by providing genuine information and value and wait for other high-value domains to refer their customers. The one who is genuinely good needs no time to be renowned.
