Cyprus, France arrange joint air drills


(MENAFN) The Ministry of Defense stated in a report that Cyprus and France carried out a joint air drills on Tuesday, with French Rafale fighter jets making low passes acorss parts of Cyprus, comprising the capital Nicosia.

The report noted that the drills, code-named "Talos 2021," occurred within the framework of the defense collaboration program between Cyprus and France, further saying that it gave the personnel the chance to test the Cypriot defense systems and train in a real situation.

The French planes participating in the drills departed from Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier as it sailed off the Cypriot coast.

Similar drills have been conducted in the past.
