Qatar- QU Public Health Department students present graduation projects


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A total of 11 students from the Public Health Department of the College of Health Science, a member of QU Health at Qatar University, recently presented their research graduation projects. Most of the students will graduate in Spring-2021 which is the sixth cohort of Public Health Bachelor's degree graduates.
Keram Rimah and Reham Zamel presented their research project titled ‘Knowledge, attitude and practices about breast cancer self-examination among health cluster students in Qatar University' which was supervised by Dr Ahsan Sethi.
Dr Ghadir Aljayyousi supervised the project of Retaj Awad and Maha AlQashoti, which was a systematic review about tobacco cessation programmes and factors associated with their effectiveness in the Middle East.
Another project was supervised by Dr Mohamed Fasih Alam which was presented by Dana al-Sulaiti, and Fatima Alhabshi, who were interested in exploring newborn hearing loss screening through a systematic review.
Dr Alam also supervised the project entitled ‘Colorectal cancer screening and its impact on incidence and mortality: a systematic review'. The project was presented by Ayah El Sakka and Alanood al-Marri.
Finally, Raghad Saeed, Usra El Shaikh and Rayan Sheikh investigated the barriers and facilitators to mental health help-seeking behaviours among older adults through a systematic review of quantitative studies.
This project was supervised by Dr Diana Alsayed Hassan.
