Kuwait- UN regional bureau honors KPC CEO

KUWAIT, May 3 (KUNA) -- The UN regional bureau for Gulf states granted the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation CEO Hashem Hashem an award in appreciation of his efforts as one of the leading oil executives in the Arab world.
A celebratory ceremony was held on Monday at the KPC headquarters; attended by Minister of Oil, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Fares, where Hashem received the award from the head of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat -- the Arabian Gulf branch -- Dr. Amira Al-Hassan, the UN acting resident coordinator in Kuwait and the UN resident envoy.
Al-Hassan in a statement said the award represented appreciation for Hashem and Kuwaiti oil sector personnel. (end)
