Russia orders unlawful immigrants to leave country

(MENAFN)Russian Deputy Interior Minister Alexander Gorovoy demanded the management of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to work with their inhabitants who are unlawfully living in Russia.
Gorovoy stated at a plenary meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly that "There are many of your citizens who are currently on the territory of my country illegally. And if we do not reduce this number by June 15, as the presidential decree implies, these people will be punished, up to the expulsion and closure of borders".
According to Gorovoy, no less than 1 million unlawful migrants from CIS countries presently live in Russia.
A suspension on the expulsion of unlawful migrants, introduced in Russia because of the coronavirus, is efficient until June 15.
