DPS-MIS senior boys crowned as debating champions

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) Boys team excelled and regained the champions' title at ‘Qatar Secondary Schools Debating Championship 2020-2021 for Boys' organised by QatarDebate recently. It was indeed a proud moment as DPS-MIS debaters fought the battle of words and walked away with the Running Trophy. After qualifying all elimination and pre-quarter final rounds, DPS-MIS team debated against DeBakey High School team in the grand final round and claimed the title. Jaefar Shameem was adjudged as the best speaker.
DPS-MIS boys were also declared ‘League Champion' which enabled them to bring back the ‘Running Trophy' home. Adding to the glory in the individual category, Jaefar Shameem and Sparsh Chowdhary won the top speaker position followed by Aarav Bedi, Vidit Dalal, Azhar Jaleel Muhammed and Sajish Sajan Varghese.
